I was born at Providence Hospital and unlike you, I am not willing to settle for any lazy workarounds. The notion of retrocession is not viable (Maryland doesn’t want it, end of story) and even if it were, it’s a half-assed, watered down solution. The fact that an actual (alleged) dc resident is in here pushing for it is mind blowing stupid.
that enough words for you or do you need more?

I live above the Safeway on 14th and thought I was moving into a cute, quiet little neighborhood. Little did I know there would be crazy people stealing and fighting outside on a daily basis and shootings at the metro

The Aquatic Gardens rule. Highly highly recommend showing up early in the summer, it gets super hot (and sometimes crowded) by about 11am and the birds tend to hide away.

Congressional staff make up 20-25,000 jobs in DC and their work directly impacts the day to day work of many many more.
Congress also has ultimate control over DC local politics.
Not sure why you would be surprised that people post about these things.

If we look at who is been gov it generally has been Baltimore or PG for (D) govs which is most of them. As that is the most important office in MD that is why I say Baltimore doesn't really want DC to be part of MD.
They it really would make Baltimore even less important. I wasn't saying that Baltimore has all the power, I'm saying they really don't want to have almost none and be even more ignored.

Meanwhile people double park and blow reds all throughout the city. We requested a virtual hearing for Monday so we will see what happens. Now we will miss the 90 day window for our car registration renewal (that was big oversight on us, totally thought we had till April and just screwed the dates up)

I was attacked and used my pepper spray. The cops came, a lot of them. They said “nice job” when they heard I used pepper spray and never asked me what kind I had. 🤷♀️
