I would personally make fun meals in so that there is 100% control over ingredients. Eating out with those restrictions might go ok but if not, could ruin trip and cause a long lasting flare. As someone whose kid had food restrictions, eating out is stressful. I'd make fun experience memories that are not food centered.

If you didn’t paint numbers on it…Call the city and ask for the serial number of the bin associated with your address. Then walk your nearby alleys and look at the front of bins for the engraved number.

(Never knew they were marked until we got a ticket for a bin that was stolen from our house before we moved in and left somewhere illegal.)

Second the suggestion re the Feminist Bird Club DMV Chapter! The Tregaron Conservancy also runs free seasonal Saturday morning bird walks led by Sam Krause which are great and super friendly - I don't think Sam's doing them at the moment but pretty sure she's restarting them in May/June. I'm in downtown DC and don't drive but have found you can get to some pretty good spots by Metro and CaBi - I bird regularly at Theodore Roosevelt Island and there's a CaBi bike dock right by the footbridge over to the island. I've also enjoyed good birding at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Hains Point Park, along the Potomac between Fletcher's Cove and the Chain Bridge, and the National Arboretum, all by bike or public transport. There's great info about a bunch of different birding spots around DC here: https://birdersguidemddc.org/explore-birding-sites/by-region/washington-dc-region/

What shite insurance do you have. I had someone cream my fender at BWI and not leave a note. I checked with my ins rep to make sure that wasn't true before filing the claim. It doesn't go up, same as if the person who hit you stayed around. (And that makes sense. It's not like it shows you're a bigger risk than they originally thought if it was the other person's fault.)

Fogo de chao or any meat-heavy restaurant would be good. Fogo de Chao is memorable but it is a chain with some locations in Ohio so it might not feel speicial. Old Ebbitt is really good at dealing with food allergies and special needs and it is a DC institution so that would be a good and special choice, but maybe a bit fancy for a teenager. Any steakhouse would probably be a good option. Farmers Fishers Bakers on the Georgetown waterfront is also good with allergies.

Another idea might be to take them to the seafood market at the Wharf and cook at home, if he eats fish? Or take them to a seafood restaurant, but I don't have a specific allergy-friendly recommendation for one.

In DC, for physical assaults that don't meet felonies and dont involve a weapon, we typically charge simple assault. For verbal threats or incidents like OP's, the charge would be misdemeanor threats, since no physical assault occurred and nothing about this meets the criteria for felony

Simple assault is not the charge we would use for this.

Went by the station about 45 min ago, train on what I believe is the south side of track (I'm a tourist so not 💯) was caution taped off. Didnt see anything else, didn't see any cops even, but only looked a little cause my back was to that side.

Scary thing to hear about and be around with my family in tow. Hope everyone is ok!
