Reply to You know that one bus driver who announces the stops and says “hold on folks!” When he makes turns in Rittenhouse? by postgrad-dep18
He's great, always brightens my day. Haven't seen in a little while though guess I've just been missing his bus.
There's another driver on the 17 in the morning who's also great, she always greets all the early morning commuters with a cheerful good morning, and knows all the regulars. Also drives hard to stay on time and make connections.

It's actively under renovation work, so hopefully any structural damage can be quickly repaired and restored. The article says the building was saved but the archive was damaged.

It takes a real piece of shit to attempt arson in general, but you gotta be an extra special level of fucked to go after a historical site like Carpenters hall.

We won't install them in most places in this city because they could damage the out of control car being driven by someone who's not paying attention, drunk, and or high; and who's about to plow over a person on the street and murder them.
Priorities are very clear from this city, and it's not people.

And just like with guns we don't enforce any of those laws in the city.

If you can, get an inspection done again and don't hesitate to report the site via 311 and L&I for failure to display permits or otherwise fucking up.

It's pretty low effort for them to send a car over to tell several people to fuck off of a site, they might actually do it.

If we had such a system here it would certainly help with impounding all the cars with fake plates rolling around.

No it's just the totally naive belief that we can power an industrial society off microgrids, solar, wind, fairy dust and good vibes.

Well considering how cold it is outside I'm sure the thermal line limit isn't the issue.

Sucks for that Temple student though can't say I'm surprised.
36 cars stolen a day is wild though. This really just highlights the lack of any plate reader technology in the city to go after these. In the future with built-in GPS tracking and remote shutdown commands being integrated in, I can't imagine this will be as much of an issue.

You don't get towed for street sweeping, you get a $30 ticket, and the street sweeping program ended in Nov and won't start again until next summer.
Highly doubt that there was that much of a measurable increase in street works requiring courtesy tows.

We should allow mixed use residential over commercial to be built there with the understanding we get the diner back.

Rhynhart is the way, I don't think anyone else has the experience, the knowledge, or desire to fix the problems the city faces.
Sadly true democracy can't be achieved without an overhaul of the election system, until that happens the most likely outcome of any election for Philly is, whoever wins the democratic primary will win the office. So it behooves you to register for the time being to have a say on who will be elected to the city government.

We must all work together to push Rhynhart as hard as possible. She's the only candidate running who is both intelligent, lacks conflict of interest, and has the will to get the city government functioning again.

Domb would be fine as mayor, Rhynhart would be better. Jeff brown doesn't have any relevant experience.

The candidate who wins will do so with a very slim amount of votes. I'm gonna beg here and ask you to re-join the democratic party to vote in the primary to get Rhynhart across the finish line.

Ya it's incompetent, corrupt, and running the city into the ground. However until open primaries and or ranked choice voting get approved in PA you're intentionally removing yourself from voting for any reform on ill-founded moral superiority.

Brown is just another Kenney in the making, just total incompetence.
Gym is worse, she's both incompetent and an ideolog who keeps conflating national issues as local issues.

Cool, so rampant crime will continue unabated in the city because Krasner thinks going after illegal weapons possession is tantamount to the war on drugs.
