Rental cars come with all season tires which are not very good in wintery conditions. Pegs has great vehicles for all winter conditions. With everything considered, I think her rate is not as bad as you are making it out to be.

If you were to go with Pegs, set your pickup date/time well in advance.

The Rohan St Marthe signs really caught me by surprise. Right before the election they popped up everywhere. I had never heard of him before. Looking at his LinkedIn profile it looks like he lives in Boston

Yeah, I was lucky that I moved here when I was young and participated in a lot of activities that introduced me to a lot of people. School & work also helped.

I couldn't imagine moving here if I was older.

Vermont is not an easy place to make friends. People assume it is but it isn't. Especially the older you get. If you don't have old friends and are old, you are screwed.

I am for keeping dogs on leashes in most circumstances but I disagree with you here.

Most people with a yard (in a rural area) and a dog that won't take off, will let their dog out to do it's business. I always did. Granted my dogs were medium sized dogs. After my dogs did their business, they were anxious to get back in to be with us.

I am not advocating letting your dog roam.

Even the game warden did say put your dog on a leash.

Game warden Kyle Isherwood said: “Before letting pets out at night, I would urge Vermonters to light their yards and make plenty of noise to allow wildlife in the area time to move on.”
