Ray was a total character. He once told a beer club to lobby local stores to sell his beer so he could continue being a "sponsor of your stupid contest". No one in the club was offended because it was just Ray being Ray. Everyone got a good laugh out of it.

I loved the Dead Horse IPA. I enjoyed the board games at the brew pub.

There has been a tendency in the past several years for people to adopt reactive dogs that they can't or won't control. These days I would be hesitant to let any dog outside when I am not home. I definitely wouldn't let little yippers out when I am not home or alone at night.

At night the wild life comes into play.

Sorry our pets all passed away & my wife won't let me get anymore. I have been out the pet world for a while. Our pet doors have been removed.

We also did the invisible fence. That was a lot of time & effort. It worked for a while but eventually it became useless.

Spend the extra money and get one that only opens for animals with the chip or rfid tag.

Dog doors are great but they open you up to a new set of problems. Animals that you don't want coming into your house. Your dog going out to bark in the middle of the night. Etc.

Our cat brought in some full size rabbits. He also had this thing about once he brought a rodent into the house, he lost interest in it.

Pet pictures belong in r/awe. This has nothing to do with Vermont in my opinion.

Edit: pet pictures like this are shit posts. Just trying to farm for karama. I wouldn't mind them if they were confined to a sticked thread.

It melts the top layer of snow. The water seeps down freezes. Creating an icy layer. When skiers ski make turns in the same spot in soft snow deep trenches are formed, known as ruts. Ruts give the early racers a huge advantage. If a racer gets in trouble and has to ski out of the course, a rut will act like a ski jump and launch the racer, which is very dangerous.

Salting a race course with soft snow will make it fairer and safer for all racers. It does make a huge difference.

Salting has been banned on glaciers for years.

You are a good person. Unfortunately it's too easy to ignore it. Unless people are forced to use it , most won't. That's why I wish the mods would delete those posts. Maybe use a bot. Even ban those who repeatedly don't use the stickied threads. U/deadowl your a clever mod, is this possible?
