Figure out what type of art they are into. Encourage them to learn digital (it's what I do). So a computer tablet or something that lets them draw could be a huge advantage to being able to practice / learn more (if they don't have one already).

Then they can sculpt and draw and paint and do a huge range of things digitally (Eventually even 3d printing or other production techniques if they want to bring it into the real world).

>The entities responsible for introducing these chemicals and continuing to manufacture them need to be held morally and financially accountable.

It is similar to when gas producers were putting lead in the gas.... despite knowing the effects of lead in the environment and on humans.

So instead of owning up to the damage they were causing (or the government doing anything to prevent it), they were allowed to continue for many decades and cause country wide contamination and lead poisoning in people....

The punishment? Massive profits... and then eventually (after a very very long time) they were told to cut it out. There is no accountability, that isn't how America handles public safety issues.

>$19 million sounds very inadequate

America is more about PR and optics of helping, than actually solving anything.

So it's just tinkering around the edges while "nothing fundamentally changes".

That's the fun part of American environmental safety reporting... it usually comes in the form of "surprise! you were poisoned a while ago!!" haha.

So many of these things aren't going to kill you straight out, instead you just get spikes in cancer rates in towns for decades and government / companies insisting "that could be from anything" (if people ever question it).

I asked chatGPT for you ((Edit: chatGPT will also walk you through a lot of stuff if you ask it, it's really good with help like this.... though it isn't perfect, so use common sense too and ask for clarification and stuff)).

There are a few potential causes for the issue you are experiencing after replacing the charging port in your laptop. Here are a few things you can check:

  1. Check the power adapter: It is possible that the power adapter is not working properly or the connector is not properly plugged in. Try using a different power adapter to see if the issue persists.
  2. Check the charging cable: The charging cable could be damaged, or the connection between the cable and the charging port might not be secure. Try using a different charging cable to see if this solves the issue.
  3. Check the charging port: It is possible that the new charging port you installed is faulty or not properly connected to the motherboard. Double-check that all the connections are properly secured and that the port is functioning properly.
  4. Check the battery: The battery could be damaged or not properly connected. Check the battery to make sure it is properly inserted and secured. You can also try removing the battery and plugging in the laptop to see if it turns on with just the power adapter.
  5. Check for other hardware issues: There could be other hardware issues with the laptop that are preventing it from charging properly, such as a faulty motherboard or power management system. If none of the above solutions work, it may be necessary to take the laptop to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.

In summary, check the power adapter, charging cable, charging port, battery, and other hardware issues to determine the cause of the problem.

Why would capitalism advertise its own failings?

This accident happened because of a large company cutting back safety measures to save a buck. Combined with the state using its power to crush union workers who wanted more safety measures in place....

So it's capitalism and corrupt government working together that created a disaster.... and you expect them to use their "news" channels to advertise this???

Officially, bad things only happen under other systems. Under capitalism everything is an "oopsy" and not that big of a deal.
