Central Vermont here. Roads aren’t great but passable if you drive slow. Had 1 idiot in a pickup fishtail and slide into the ditch on my hill this morning, but many other drivers got around him just fine.

I have fat biked and skied it when it was snow covered so I think it’s fine.

I was driving north of Dorset yesterday on Rt. 7 and saw a VTRANS truck pulling up political signs along the road! I gave a honk and a thumbs up!

There is also the Williamstown Gulf. It has to do with the ancient lake beds that covered Vermont in the past. Lake Champlain was actually a sea, and I believe the gulfs were formed when ice dams broke and sent water towards the Connecticut River. That’s my general understanding but others may be able to provide more detail.

As others have said, read the easement language. If it is not specifically stated that signs are allowed, then it is not legal. Depending on the type of easement, there may be specific clauses for allowable and prohibited activities. If it’s only for access, then signs not placed by the property owner are not legal.
