Weather here can be quite variable from day to day and even within a 24 hour period (like today, from below freezing to the low 50s), and depending on your activities.

Several thin layers under a thin shell is a practical approach. You can take things off, rearrange layers and never feel too hot, or too cold. Wear a hat. And don't forget that your legs, even under pants, comprise a large area of skin that cools you as a whole, so leggings/longjohns aren't out of the question, especially if you're outside for long periods.

And if you're coming from Chicago, our weather will probably seem balmy.

The Main Library on Franklin has old catalogs (sort of like census info meets telephone books) that lists info by address. You have to ask at the desk and they'll dig them out for you.

They have a specific name, which escapes me at the moment, but I'll edit this comment when my brain unlocks, or hopefully someone else will chime in with that info.

Edit:. The Hill Directories is what I was referring to:

Your post made me think of exactly this. There are millions of street-parked cars in every city across America that will eventually be replaced with EVs. How overnight charging for so many vehicles will be addressed is a huge question.

Lane splitting” refers to the practice of riding a motorcycle between clearly marked lanes for traffic traveling in the same direction. “Filtering”refers to the practice of riding a motorcycle between stopped motor vehicles to the front of the pack, typically at a signalized intersection.

Both are currently illegal in VA

That's called lane filtering, and it's currently not legal in Virginia:

>In Virginia, two motorcyclists can ride side-by-side in the same lane. However, lane filtering, or the practice of riding a motorcycle between two lanes of stopped traffic, is prohibited. As of February 2022, lawmakers are considering creating a bill to permit lane filtering, but until then, this practice is illegal.Jul 22, 2022

Closest public Tesla Superchargers to Church Hill are probably at White Oak Mall on Laburnum, near the Petsmart & Target. About 20 Superchargers in a parking lot close to Interstate 64.

There are also a few Tesla Destination chargers sprinkled around the East End, including at Triple Crossing Brewery on Hatcher, but IDK how accessible the rest are.
