Unbelievably, a payday loan is a better financial decision than pawning jewelry. You will be disappointed by the amount they offer you, and then you will be ripped off by the interest charged.

I've heard a jewelry store is typically much better pricing than a pawn shop. Ideally, something you can get appraised first.

Here's the thing. When you sell or pawn jewelry, they give you the going rate for raw gold (by weight) minus their markup. Doesn't matter if it's a nugget you found in a river in Colorado or a piece that was hand crafted by the House of Tiffany. Weight. Disappointment.

They've always been fair the handful of times I've been in. I have bought and sold to them on more than one occasion.
