You serious? A load of high schoolers get their no-no words from TikTok. So I'm calling r/thathappened there.

As I said, your kid has already learned "fucking shit" and similar words by the time they turn 10. So for the kids that have, they are not "vulnerable people" in that regard.

Back in the 2000s, I was taught to swear at a third-grade bully in order to get him to stop bullying. The only reason I didn't do it was because I was an anxious and terrified kid who really didn't want to get beat up. If the same thing happened today, and if I actually went through with it, the kid wouldn't be fazed in the slightest.

Swear words are here, they're being dropped, and there's hardly a thing you can do about it. There are bigger things to focus on.

Aww man...there go half the posts on this subreddit! /j

That being said, I'll stand by what I've said: if you support this for kids' sake, let me remind you that your kid has probably come across at least one no-no word (either on the Internet or in the community) before they hit their 10s. Welcome to the modern era, enjoy your stay.

Here's how I think it works:

  • You see a sign for a candidate
  • "Hmm, I've never heard of them. I should look them up."
  • Looks them up
  • Finds their site
  • Reads their stances on certain issues
  • Decides whether to vote for them or not

Of course, this doesn't work with established names (LePage and Mills, for example). And it probably doesn't work as a whole. But with names I've never seen, that's my theory.

Nope, not it. Cognitive difficulty, memory loss, all that stuff. Lots of stories of elderly folks accidentally plowing into buildings because they mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal.

Some elderly people can drive fine, others can't.

My mother hates going out. She'll do it, but that doesn't mean she'll enjoy it. Shit's just gotta get done. But that doesn't mean she's going to rip 80 everywhere she goes. Same with me--I want to get home too, but I don't feel like dying in a two-ton death machine just to do it, thank you.

Really sorry about your cousin, though. My mother got into a bad car accident with a speeding driver that fucked up her back and her knee for life, so I can sympathize.

Oh fun, can't wait to see you get blasted here.

But you know what's more fun than fishing for imaginary Internet points with bullshit? Fishing for sympathy points from police with bullshit.

It's honestly astounding how more people don't have daytime driving anxiety from shit like this.

I've seen people use the left lane more for a NASCAR track fresh outta the Indy 500, only racing for that ticket instead of a...well, whatever they win.
