You don't know what druggies are? You being serious?
I'm 24. Biddo is not a safe city. Clarification: by US standards it's one of the safest cities in the nation. By Maine standards, not even close. It's not "old school Biddo nonsense". I've seen enough stuff on the streets of Biddo and questioned the legitimacy of enough Facebook posts to know that no one could pay me enough money to walk around there at night, me being a woman be damned. Even in that parking garage, I'd be wary.
I'm gonna hold out hope for you and express my hopes that you gave enough common sense to, at the very least, lock your car door and house/apartment doors. That goes for every city, not just Biddo.
Portland outclasses it, though, easily. The downtown area in particular. Whoof boy...

That parking garage is one of the fanciest things in downtown Biddo now.
Maybe not for long once the druggies figure out that's a good place to hand out their stash, but it's nice and slick and I like it.

No, no, it's normal. We watch Pluto TV and we've seen a ton of campaign ads, since they pull mobile ads and...well, ads you see on YouTube on your phone and air them on TV.

Aww man...I can't laugh at the name "Citizens for Sanity" anymore. That's a pity. I'll have to keep that name in mind if I ever get called a crackpot in r/Maine. "No, no, you got me all wrong, I'm a citizen of sanity!"
Still, at least I can stop hearing "[We/Maine] can't go back to Paul LePage" ten million times a day.

Yeah...I tried finding a dentist who takes MaineCare. In York County there are only three. And all of them were shit in some way or another. Siiiigh...at least I just pay around $500 for cleaning and an X-ray, which is pretty decent.
You might want to call MaineCare and see what they say. They might have options besides what their list says.

Last I heard, he called her an elitist, said some shit like "you prioritize abortion over shit like heating oil costs?", either the news or he himself said he conceded, then he did a "hold the fuck up" and backpedaled his ass and said he doesn't concede.
If this is a projection, I hope they call her the winner, because if they do, I'm gonna bust my other lung.
EDIT: CNN's called it from my understanding. The audio equipment at wherever he was giving a speech is coming down. Funny thing is, he said he was gonna accept the election outcome...sure, when I fly off the roof and into space with a pair of angelic wings.

Your kid's school handled the situation better than mine.
After all, if a bomb threat is called and it's located inside the school, what's a safer place to go than...to stay inside the school, cramped in a tiny little room, instead of outside and away from the bomb as much as possible?

A safer one as well.
A lot of parents do it because they don't want their kid run over by cars, or just feel uncomfortable with the prospect of knocking on the doors of complete strangers. Some also do trick-or-treat as well. It's been a thing since at least before 2020 but soared in popularity over the course of the pandemic for obvious reasons.

Aha...sure. r/thathappened to all of this post. You're feeling so threatened by being wrong that you're resorting to lying? That's kinda sad.
But also yes, that is exactly what I mean. Mainers aren't usually bothered by adults who don't have kids with them going trick-or-treating and getting candy. Hell, I stopped trick-or-treating after 15, and when I did go, I'd see adults and high schoolers go trick-or-treating in costumes all the time in addition to kids. Some of them got candy, even. Not all, but some.

The druggies and trashy people are only downtown. The further up you go by the shops (MB, Kohls, etc.), the better it is. Although I do question the shit that goes on in the Walmart parking lot sometimes...but it's Walmart, so I'm not too surprised.
Just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Practice common sense instead of slapping a metaphorical sign that says "I'm a Willing Victim of Crime" on your back every time I go out. If I go out to breweries and restaurants, I'm having protection on me and most definitely not going at night, especially since I'm a woman.
