Love the fact that in a plurality Latin county, the only two restaurants in North Hudson are āAmericanā and the only remotely Latin one thatās on the list is a taco shop in Hoboken.
Love being āthe most diverse place in Americaā only when it suits the powerful White people in charge of our local governments.
Miss me with this bougie nonsense.

Wow I didnāt even realize there were rarely any Latin restaurants on here until your comment š„² I remember last years restaurant week I got to try rumba cubana and hard grove. Wish I couldāve seen noches de Colombia on here or other great Latin restaurants that I just am not aware of :ā(

Is this list a joke? The point of restaurant week is to get an opportunity to try high end expensive restaurants. A few of the ones on this list of restaurant week deals are more expensive than a normal meal there. Like Hamilton pork for $39 is a deal??? Cmon
Substantial-Floor926 t1_j5throh wrote
Just googled it and there is a real Jersey city restaurant week in March
joeyirv t1_j5tircl wrote
how is harrison on this list and not union city lol

I appreciate the comment, but Noches is like the AppleBees of Colombian food. Itās good for a quick fix, but itās not the best. Rumba is legit tho.

Hahaha Iām interested in asking what your top 3 best Latin restaurants in Hudson are because my personal selections are pretty washed up lmfao

Not a joke, the JC & Hudson county resturant week has missed the whole fuckin' point for years.
I don't even have to pull up this year's to know it. Hamilton Pork probably follow the format of what lots of people do in years past: probably pick an app, pick an entree, maybe a drink, (all full price adding up to $39- and the funny part sometimes less if you buy individually from the normal menu), and then toss in a free half assed dessert that isn't on the normal menu like a brownie with a scoop of iced cream.

El Artesano on Bergenline in Union City or Las Palmas on Bergenline in West New York are great Cuban restaurants. La Kausa (Peruvian) on Bergenline in North Bergen is quite good. The good Noches is the one on 92nd St in North Bergen.

Thanks for sharing! Appreciate the recommendations a ton cause Iāve literally never heard of any of these places lol granted, I donāt really ever find myself in union city or north Bergen but now I can venture out there and try some amazing new dishesš

Restaurant Week(s) (thereās a bunch of them now) has been a joke for years. Used to be some special deals to bring in new customers. Now itās just what these places offer with their limited holiday menuās, but on a Tuesday.

The bartender at Rumba lost my credit card. After arguing with me claiming that he gave it back to me, and me not backing down, and refusing to leave, it was discovered that he gave it to another customer. I've never been back.

Is there a website set up for this to see what discounts these restaurants are offering? Or are they listed on their official social medias/websites?

They're basically trash and have been since forever.
Picking some of the JC spots at random, we've got the following:
Fire & Oak - 2- Course Lunch Starting at $29 / 3-Course Dinner Starting at $49 per person. Available Monday through Friday for lunch and Monday through Thursday for Dinner
Looks like it'll save you upwards of five-ten dollars maybe? Hard to tell with no prices and guessing on what they'll serve based on their regular menu
Light Horse Tavern - has a moderately large menu for RW, but no prices and no notation on their page of what sort of deal we're talking about.
Lokal - $45 for 3 Course PrefixĀ (lol at prefix btw). Decent sized menu, appears to be for dinner only and not on Fri/Sat nights.
Again, looks like a $5-10 savings.
If going to mid-priced eateries and saving $5-10 bucks is your thing, go for it. There's nothing wrong with that.
I'll stick to the NYC one. It's also suffered from what it used to be, but there's still interesting stuff. The dinner cruise on the Hudson for $60 seems like a great date night or famous spots like the Russian Tea Room (the $45 lunch is actually a good deal, considering it averages around $70 individually).

Might do fire and oak or ruth's chris since its right down the block and i wouldn't normally go there but this is super weak overall. planning to take the train into the city way more for the real restaurant week lol

I mean, sounds like a problem with one bartender that youāre taking out on the whole business. You do you.

the "real Jersey city restaurant week" is even worse. In fact, I 100% blame that abomination as the main reason why Hudson RW sucks so bad now. It used to be that Hudson RW was actually pretty good, with a ton of participation by really good restaurants in JC and Hoboken with great deals (man, I miss the Edward's Restaurant Week deal) but once JC RW came around, most restaurants seem to have reacted by picking one or the other, or putting forth a crappy offering for both.
